Illinois rapper, Homicide the Hooligan is known as a punchline rapper and his latest releases don't do a single thing to change that narrative. On his "Timmy Turner Freestyle" he raps, "You either selling white or selling green/or a nightmare trying to sell a dream" and "Nobody" finds the young OG spewing street wisdom like, "Main motto/Fuck everybody, trust nobody/You caught a body leave no witness/No body". Mixtape Drop - IAMYSELF "Yesterday Was Twenty7"

IAMYSELF brings his vision to life on "Yesterday Was Twenty7". Using a sing song flow over soulful production the Illinois native is making his mark in today's world of Hip Hop. Flashing the potential of a future star, IAMYSELF uses his creativity to keep the listeners engaged throughout the 11 tracks that make up this release. With this type of introduction IAMYSELF has set the bar pretty high for his next project.

Audio Drop - @TjByrd217 "Fuckery" (Do Not Disturb Freeverse)

Tj Byrd is one of Illinois' most gifted rappers. He drops another jewel with his "Fuckery" Freeverse over Drake's "Do Not Disturb". Getting extremely personal Mr. Byrd took some of the things that have been bubbling under the surface and allowed them to breathe. Detailing interpersonal relationships with friends and even the mother of his children, TJ exhibits plenty of courage in speaking from his heart.

Audio Drop - @DeezyDaPaperboy aims to refresh on "Lemonade".

One of the Midwest's top underground rappers, Deezy Da Paperboy serves his brand new single "Lemonade" ice cold with a side of animosity. The Illinois resident aptly nicknamed, "Mr. Win 'Em All", for his extensive catalog of hit singles, and long list of victories in various showcases and performance competitions across the country, still doesn't feel he gets the respect he deserves. With a brand new attitude in 2017, the fiery emcee decided that waiting was no longer an option and turning life's lemons into lemonade with a few extra shots was the only way to make his mark in the rap game.

4TP's Archie continues his recent stretch of new releases with "Nintendo". The Jacksonville, Illinois resident has been slowly building both his catalog and fan base through his hard work in the Midwest underground scene.

Audio Drop - Tanner G "Make It Happen"

AMG/Blackhood's latest signee, Tanner G has a bright future ahead in the music game if his debut single is any indication. The Illinois native delivers "Make It Happen". The laid-back single finds the rapper/singer delving into all of the ways he makes moves. Of course women, haters, and getting to the money are all on the agenda when you rock with this "G".

Audio Drop - @WickedSweet4TP "Never ending Nightmares".

Downstate Illinois resident Wicked Sweet delivers his first solo EP, "Never Ending Nightmares". Holding it down for his hometown of Jacksonville, Sweet gives his nightmares a place to reside outside of his head; on the 8 track project. "What Do I Know" is a catchy single that serves as the lighter side of this dark journey through a young rapper's mind.

Audio Drop - @bdazz01 featuring @bizarresworld "Over The Top"

Bloomington, IL resident rapper Brandon DaZ linked up with D12's Bizarre for "Over The Top". The single will serve as the first release from DaZ's upcoming "Black Unicorn 2" project. With a high energy flow and one of rap's most recognizable names Brandon has the perfect set-up to take off.

Audio Drop - Nefarious Cloud "Panties"

The ever-cool Nefarious Cloud drops his latest visual "Panties". The Cooshit captain makes no qualms about how he prefers his ladies, dressed down to their undergarments with a side of good weed. Lacing the smooth production with his chill flow Cloud even brings the eye candy in this Room Rari/Jayy Wills Entertainment collaboration video.

@CoPilots217 deliver the highly anticipated "217".

Illinois rappers, the Co Pilots deliver their "217" project. The release features 10 tracks of heat from some of the Midwest's most consistent rhymers. "217" sports tons of hometown pride over energetic production. With a nearly 2 year wait between projects, the fans have been clamoring to hear new music from the duo that produced the hit single "Marciano".

Audio Drop - @youngpacfgm "Ku Klux"

Springfield Illinois is the home of the 1908 race riot that caused the formation of the NAACP. Growing up in a city with that kind of history influenced Young Pac to take racism head-on in his latest track "Ku Klux". Calling the Klan out by name Young Pac delivers heated bars their direction.

@Fiyablaze delivers brand new singles.

Illinois rapper, Fiya Blaze definitely has some things to say about who will be making the biggest musical waves of 2017. While the Hip Hop world anxiously awaits his Fuego project in it's entirety, Fiya delivers some of the projects biggest singles like "Used 2 It", "Let Me Live" and "I'm Gone Shoot You". 

With poignant lines like "Tell me where these men who care about they families/ but always chase they homies, some money and some panties/I mean I'm cool/ I do/ fasho know we all human/ and yeah we all do it/ and now we all ruined", from "Let Me Live" and relate-able bars like, "Man I got so comfy sleepin on the floor/it's like I never had a bed/ from "Used 2 It", Fiya easily turns skeptics into believers.  With so much noise about who can't rap going into the new year it's refreshing to finally get back to an artist that can.

Deezy da Paperboy's latest release may prove to be the most important to date. His Glass Imagery filmed video, "We Do" featuring Jayy Wills and Meezy Killafield is an interesting look into the psychology of the times. Taking the blinders off of the masses and showing them the right path is what this talented trio set out to do. Proving once and for all that unity really is the only way.

Central IL native and current Chi-town rapper, Dr. Quinn delivers his latest visual "Front". The single serves as the first track from his upcoming "Bright Lights n=in Lo Fi" EP. Father Bruce Lasalle handles the camera work on this one.

The Central Illinois Hip Hop scene is overflowing with talent and one artist decided to put it all on full display. Shaun (Sheezy) Sorenson took on the task of putting together "Homegrown" a compilation mixtape boasting 20 tracks and over 20 contributing artists. With so much quality music being produced from the area Sheezy took on the painstaking task of selecting the best of the best. Pytch Wyte, Deezy da Paperboy, Cornbread, Agent O, The Co-Pilots, Young Blu, Chasin Treezz, and plenty more of Central Illinois biggest names appear on the legendary Core DJ, DJ DNY mixed and Uncanny hosted mixtape. Be on the lookout for vol. 2 early 2016!
