Audio Drop - @misterzone4 knows his name holds weight.

 





@misterzone4 aka Sensai Doog delivers his latest offering My Name Holds Weight. The Illinois native is known for weaving intricate tales of street life and a life on the grind. Having established himself as a force on the music scene with singles like,"Mula is My Bride" (The El Chapo Ztory) and "College Drip" with Benji Vinze (Zlatt Season). The new project continues in the same vein with standout singles "Memory Lane" and "Krankin' Fiend" proving that Doogie is only getting better with each project. With upcoming shows and releases from the camp planned the Zu Cru Zillionaires are setting the tone for a major push in 2021.

Album Drop - @iambennieblanco "Where's Blanco (The Album)"



After a short hiatus, Money Ave rep,  Bennie Blanco delivers his highly anticipated album, "Where's Blanco?". The Illinois native brings heat over the course of 17 tracks. With standout singles like, "Southgrand", "Live From The Bricks" and the King Mill and Mitch G assisted "Always", Blanco carves his own lane in a crowded Hip Hop space. Audio Drop - @TjByrd217 "Fuckery" (Do Not Disturb Freeverse)




Tj Byrd is one of Illinois' most gifted rappers. He drops another jewel with his "Fuckery" Freeverse over Drake's "Do Not Disturb". Getting extremely personal Mr. Byrd took some of the things that have been bubbling under the surface and allowed them to breathe. Detailing interpersonal relationships with friends and even the mother of his children, TJ exhibits plenty of courage in speaking from his heart.

The rapper formerly known as AJ Dollaz has reinvented himself as Ninety3. The Illinois resident delivered his TakeOff.com project in 2016 to excellent reviews. One of the release's gems is "Foreign". The extremely catchy single is about doing what every rapper wants to do "chop that old school and pull up in a foreign".


@CoPilots217 deliver the highly anticipated "217".





Illinois rappers, the Co Pilots deliver their "217" project. The release features 10 tracks of heat from some of the Midwest's most consistent rhymers. "217" sports tons of hometown pride over energetic production. With a nearly 2 year wait between projects, the fans have been clamoring to hear new music from the duo that produced the hit single "Marciano".

@Fiyablaze delivers brand new singles.



Illinois rapper, Fiya Blaze definitely has some things to say about who will be making the biggest musical waves of 2017. While the Hip Hop world anxiously awaits his Fuego project in it's entirety, Fiya delivers some of the projects biggest singles like "Used 2 It", "Let Me Live" and "I'm Gone Shoot You". 

With poignant lines like "Tell me where these men who care about they families/ but always chase they homies, some money and some panties/I mean I'm cool/ I do/ fasho know we all human/ and yeah we all do it/ and now we all ruined", from "Let Me Live" and relate-able bars like, "Man I got so comfy sleepin on the floor/it's like I never had a bed/ from "Used 2 It", Fiya easily turns skeptics into believers.  With so much noise about who can't rap going into the new year it's refreshing to finally get back to an artist that can.

Springfield, IL native and J Block Ent. rep Lumba Jack took home the title of "Hottest In The City". Lumba won this title at the "Late Night Thoughts Tour" and 217hiphop.com sponsored #HITC3 event in Springfield, IL 3/12/16. With an outstanding performance and unmatched energy the 217 resident weathered great performances from both local and regional acts.

The Central Illinois Hip Hop scene is overflowing with talent and one artist decided to put it all on full display. Shaun (Sheezy) Sorenson took on the task of putting together "Homegrown" a compilation mixtape boasting 20 tracks and over 20 contributing artists. With so much quality music being produced from the area Sheezy took on the painstaking task of selecting the best of the best. Pytch Wyte, Deezy da Paperboy, Cornbread, Agent O, The Co-Pilots, Young Blu, Chasin Treezz, and plenty more of Central Illinois biggest names appear on the legendary Core DJ, DJ DNY mixed and Uncanny hosted mixtape. Be on the lookout for vol. 2 early 2016!

After opening up for Plane Jaymes in their home city, the homies are set to take the show in the road. St. Louis'  Klub Klymaxx will play host to the Big Heff Industry tour and of course the street's favorite O.B.B. Check out their video "Came From Nuthin'" ahead of their performance!

Trigg went from virtual unknown to one of the hottest on the 217 scene in just a few months. After dropping two mixtapes in a calendar year the Central Illinois rapper continues to work. His newest single "Gang Shit" is as raw as the title would suggest.
