MIXTAPE DROP- That Man Santiago - Nightlife Fifty-Five

"Nightlife Fifty-Five" is an amazing array of dream-like symphonies for the soul! "Nightlife Fifty-Five" by That Man Santiago is a collection of 11 dark synthesized tracks that tell various stories over superior production. Standout tracks are the laidback and conscious, "Nightlife" & the banger "Tell Somebody" featuring my homeboy Byro!

"The project was recorded and mixed at Soundscape Studios in Chicago. The concept behind the project was to create an honest soundtrack of a person's thoughts before and after a night out in the city. During the length of the tape I travel between thoughts of "turning up" and not worrying about the consequences, to thinking about the repercussions of my actions. The tape touches upon the idea that we are all filled with contradictions; however those contradictions are what help us learn and grow as people."

VIDEO DROP- Lyrical - Asylum

Lyrical shows ultimate versatility on new single "Asylum". The visual tell a deep story that very well written, performed and directed.

On "Asylum" the God Daughter of Hiphop, Lyrical, effortlessly flips her style back and forth in a twisted conversation with her psychiatrist. She awakes trapped in an insane asylum in a straight jacket in a convo with the very calm, soft spoken shrink (also played by Lyrical lol). She begin to tell her violent tale of going ham on her boyfriend, assaulting the bitch her boyfriend got busted with and how she blew up her last place of employment.. Yea its crazy and very, very entertaining lol

Get the song and more info at http://www.thegoddaughter.com. Also peep The Dopeness' upcoming interview with Lyrical on Sat Feb 27th at 10pm CST (Player Below).

AUDIO DROP- Dean Chatham - Dean's List 2: The Aftermath

My 1st impression of Dean Chatham is deep, original, creative, and off-kilter. More than anything else true hiphop is evident in each bar spit on his new project "Dean's List 2: The Aftermath". AUDIO DROP - KidDr1ft - O.M.O

Here's a thoughtful track from the homie KidDr1ft name "O.M.O" or "On My Own". Check as he speaks his mind on his lonely state over a sick Luke White. KidDr1ft says, "When I say on my own I'm describing how it is when you trust people, because trusting is like respect and its something that has to be earned. You do get lost in a track at times when you do something you enjoy so I tend to question a lot of things in life but then again who doesn't?"

BIO:  "Darien Gomez Jr aka KidDr1ft or Kid(for short). KidDr1ft is an unsigned artist who also enjoys the bboy life as well.Coming out of Saint Paul, MN but originally born in Minneapolis, MN at a young age he knew what he was destined for.Music has always played an important part of his life whether it was to free his from his problems or just because he was happy music was always there. I guess you could say many artistes from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's inspired him to become an artist of my own. So the thing that keeps him focus isn't just family it's telling hisself "you can't always be the greatest at everything you do but at least you could try to be".

AUDIO DROP- Tori Bleu - No Deal

I normally stay away from mixtapes where artists rap over industry beats, usually because it lacks true originality and artists lyrics usually don't live up to those beats. The difference here is she switches her style on each track, transforming songs and making them her own!  Download ASAP!!!
